Memorabilia Dana Hills High School is in Dana Point

Memorabilia:
I was going through some old paperwork last night and came across a folder of memorabilia from high school. I had a good laugh at this letter:
HighSchoolLetter
I don’t remember that test and unfortunately I have retained very little Spanish, even though I went on to take 4 years of classes. What kind of superhuman effort did I exert on September 21, 1984 to warrant a letter sent home to my parents? Maybe my superpowers shine brighter on the equinox?
That’s mildly amusing but here’s what really got me laughing out loud:

The address of my high school is 33333 Golden Lantern. Is the address some kind of alchemical statement? Is golden lantern a euphemism for the pineal gland? See my post on 33.
The phone number was (714) 496-6666, back when most of southern California was all in one area code. But look at that: five sixes all in a row. Did I go to an illuminati high school?
If you have read much of my blog, my book, or watched my two films you will probably be smiling at this “coincidence.”
Dana Hills High School is in Dana Point, which is in southern Orange County, the namesake of a TV series called The O.C. (which I have never seen).
Dana Point’s population was most recently measured at 33,351 (2010 census). Just 0.05% too many people to hit the perfect 33,333. Dana Point covers a land area of 6.5 square miles. Do you know what I have discovered about 6 and 5?

I recognize the scenic vantage point from where this wikipedia photo was taken. I remember carefully reading Plato’s Republic during the summer of 1984 (yes, I am white and nerdy), sitting in a gazebo at the end of Blue Lantern where this photo was taken.
The streets in Dana Point’s historic core are named after colored lanterns, used by sailing ships 200 years ago to advertise their wares. However, this was only done in 1930 in the spirit of faux romanticism that real estate developers succumbed to when they laid down the bones of this town. The United States is so young, especially the West Coast.
I was just looking at Dana Point in Google Earth and decided to look at neighboring Laguna Beach, which, by the way, was the name of another awful TV series.
I zoomed in on the hospital where I was born and smiled again because it is located at 33°30′ north latitude.

Was my DNA genetically engineered by the Anunnaki? They must have messed up because I was born without both of my legs below the knee and also without my right hand. I’ve walked on artificial legs since I was 18 months old. All through my childhood I needed a new pair of legs every year or so as I was growing (and less frequently now that I am an adult). As you might imagine this turned out to be a financial burden for my parents.
Luckily for me the Shriners donated funds to have a few pairs of legs made in my childhood. You know those guys who wear those funny Fez hats driving around in miniature cars powered by lawnmower engines at parades? Oh well maybe you don’t know. They do that to “promote a positive Shriner image to the public.” Is this the most effective method you can think of to accomplish this goal?

His Fez says Syrian Corvettes. The word corvette comes from a sailing warship with one tier of guns. But why Syrian? I must be missing something.
The Shrine used to be called Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, but in 2010 they changed their name to Shriners International which describes itself as “a fraternity based on fun, fellowship and the Masonic principles of brotherly love, relief and truth.” Life magazine described the Shriners in 1938 as “among secret lodges the No. 1 in prestige, wealth, and show.”
Up until recently, Shriners had to complete the Scottish Rite’s 33 degrees (or the York Rite degrees) before being eligible for membership. Shriners are therefore a brotherhood of elite freemasons at the top of the veritable pyramid.

Are Shriners the “Secret Masters of the World” who play a Master Game or are the 11+11 Shriners Hospitals for Children operating “the World’s Greatest Philanthropy?”

Children with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate are eligible for care and receive all services in a family-centered environment, regardless of the patients’ ability to pay.
The Shriners are doing good things for disabled children and that is admirable in my book. A rose is a rose is a rose.
I traced the Fez hats back to Fez Morocco where the red dye used on the funny hats made from crimson berries originally came from. I searched for Fez in Google Earth (which is also spelled Fes) and its latitude comes up at precisely 34.033333° N. I have never seen any city whose label comes up with such a perfect string of threes. Are the Shriners essentially a secret “34th degree” of the Scottish Rite?

Back to the O.C. just one last time. Just 4.44 miles from my birthplace is the Chet Holifield Federal Building, known locally as The Ziggurat. It is a 7 stepped pyramidal complex that was built in what was the middle of nowhere around the time I was born. Now it is in the middle of a town called Aliso Viejo that didn’t exist when I was in high school. The Ziggurat is owned by the US Government and the Department of Homeland Security controls the top floor. Also the IRS shares part of the building. Death and taxes. When I was in high school the place was a ghost town and I learned to drive a stick-shift in its vast and empty parking lot. It is located at 33°33’33″ N.

Interestingly the Ziggurat was designed by architect William Pereira who also designed the Transamerica Pyramid in San Francisco, but that is another story.
Here are a few fun facts:

  • The number of minutes in 33°33′ = 2013.

  • The Sun is 333,000 times more massive than the Earth.

  • 33.33… x 33.33… = 1111.1111…

  • The Earth-Moon system’s center of mass, called the barycenter, is an average of 1111 miles beneath the surface of the Earth.

  • The Earth’s orbital velocity is 1111 miles per minute.

  • There is just something about repeating digits that catches my attention.
